Professor Patrick Brennan
CEO & Co-Founder
Patrick is a global leader of medical imaging optimization and perception. He is Chair of Diagnostic Imaging. He is the world’s highest ranked researcher in Medical Radiation Sciences. His work has changed clinical practice, impacted upon national guidelines and informed international reports. His research has been disseminated through 35 keynote/plenary talks across 5 continents.
In total, he has published over 300 original papers in the highest ranked radiological journals along with the seminal textbook Radiation Protection in Diagnostic X-ray Imaging (Jones and Bartlett Learning 2016). He has generated $24m in research support. His publications have resulted in him being the only recipient of two prestigious Honorary Fellowships from both Australia and Europe: the first ever Honorary Fellowship of the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (2017); the third Lifetime Fellowship ever awarded by the Irish Institute of Radiography and Radiation Therapy.
In 2018 he was conferred with the University of Sydney Payne-Scott Professorial Distinction.

Professor Mary Rickard
Chief Medical Officer & Co-Founder
Mary is a world recognised breast imaging radiologist with broad ranging expertise in imaging techniques and interpretation and in professional training. She is an Adjunct Professor within the Discipline of Medical Imaging Sciences at the University of Sydney. Her enthusiasm for raising the quality of breast imaging services began when she established Australia’s first pilot mammography screening programme in 1987, and was subsequently appointed as the first NSW State Radiologist for BreastScreen Australia.
She has published extensively and has been invited to teach in many countries across Europe and Asia, as well as in Australia and New Zealand. She has worked with government advisory and professional bodies in Australia and with the International Atomic Energy Agency, IAEA, in developing quality standards for radiology practice.
Her work was recognised with a Member of the Order of Australia award in 2002, for service to medicine through the integration of population-based screening for early detection of breast cancer, and the development of education programs for health professionals. In 2015 she was elected a Life Member of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the College and to the profession.

Dr Moe Suleiman
CTO & Co-Founder
Dr Suleiman’s research focuses on exploring innovative technologies and techniques that improve the recognition of clinical indicators of disease, whilst minimising risk to the patient. His research on radiation dose optimisation has resulted in significant findings regarding the method utilized for the estimation of absorbed radiation dose; leading to the design of an updated method for the calculation of actual glandular dose and a better estimation of individualised absorbed radiation dose for women undergoing screening mammography.
Dr Suleiman was awarded the John C Harsanyi Medal for innovation from the University of Sydney in 2020, his research has been disseminated through leading international journals and major international medical imaging meetings including the annual meetings of the European Congress and the International Society of Optical Engineering and Medical Imaging Perception Society. He is now a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Sydney and the CTO and co-founder of DetectED-X a University of Sydney Start-Up which aims to improve clinicians’ ability to recognise disease on radiologic images.
Dr Suleiman is driven by translating research findings into improved outcomes for individuals globally.

Dr Ziba Gandomkar
Senior AI Specialist & Data Scientist
Dr Ziba Gandomkar is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) specialist and data scientist. She has 15+ years of experience in computer programming and 9+ years of experience in computer-aided medical image analysis and machine learning.
In recent years, she has been working on the development of AI solutions for predicting a future breast cancer, determining radiologists’ errors while interpreting images, making diagnosis and cancer grading of breast histopathological slides and also conducted extensive works in the field of medical image perception and expertise development. For the first time, her works provided evidence showing that radiologists have idiosyncratic scan paths consistent across all images and proposed an AI tool for determining readers’ expertise level based on their visual search behavior.
Ziba has authored several papers in internationally-recognised journals and her works have been presented in many national and international conferences. She is passionate about harnessing the power of AI and data analytics to improve patient outcomes and medical education.
