Helping clinicians diagnose breast cancer more accurately and earlier is critical if we want to eliminate this insidious disease.
Our educational platform helps clinicians improve their ability to detect and diagnose breast cancer cases, significantly improving outcomes for patients.
Trials run over the last 8 years have demonstrated that repeated use of test sets can lead to a 34% improvement in the accuracy of diagnosing difficult cases.
Diagnosing difficult cases earlier results in earlier, less invasive treatment and this saves lives.
Training using the DetectED-X approach has led to a 34% improvement in the accuracy of diagnosing difficult cases
How it works
DetectED-X is a browser based application that allows clinicians to improve their detection performance on Mac or PC.

View and judge
In your own reading environment, you will view and judge a set of 60 cases (with specific prevalence) via your own workstation with connectivity to the internet.
You will view the cases in DICOM format on the mammography workstation and mark the cases using online scoring software.
Instant feedback
Once you have completed 60 case sets you are presented with results describing your performance using several metrics including sensitivity, specificity, true positive, true negative, false positive and false negative scores.
Also a reader specific image file is instantly generated that enables you to review all images you have just read and examine truth alongside correct and incorrect decisions that you made for each image.
Professional recognition
Scores are stored centrally so that a local or national evaluation of performances can be made which allows reference standards to be defined.
